Visual identity of 5 departments in the Faculty of Architecture, Chulalongkorn University were designed based on the main department, the department of Architecture. Due to the fact that this department was redesigned recently and did not want to changed that fast, so the design team had to analyse the remain character and designed others to match with it. The design objective is to create unity for all departments but each could told the story of their own course.
As part of the design team, I took part to developing visual identity guidelines for all five departments. The system unifies logo usage, ensuring consistency whether a logo is used individually, alongside others, or with the Faculty and University logos. The visual identity guidelines below were part of the whole, I set the format for further development because these logos were used in various media and used by many staff that had different design background. The more simple the more easier to control the usages is the key object of this manual
The guidelines also define the font system and business card design, with each department distinguished by its identity colour. The system is designed to clearly indicate staff and student use while meeting each department’s specific requirements.
The manual was set in the format of ring binder, to insert or pull out for further change, such as new department or new course. This manual is not only the guidelines for staff or students to use the logo but also set the standard for others faculty in Chulalongkorn University that still lack of visual identity systems, to create more unity and could be change the image of overall university.
— Landscape Architecture
Building upon the visual identity designed by the associated designer, we were responsible for expanding the visual system to enhance memorability and modernity. The design elements are inspired by the fundamental components of landscape architecture. We also developed a structured approach for using images in social media advertisements, such as Facebook posters.
